Privacy notice

How does this site handle my privacy?

Church Directories is a static informational guide that does not currently collect, store, or sell personal data. The request forms are clearly marked placeholders that do not yet deliver. If a form is connected later, any information would be used only to arrange a directory consultation and would never be sold or misused.

What we collect

Church Directories is a static informational website. As built, it does not collect, store, or process personal information, and the request forms on the site are clearly marked placeholders that do not yet deliver or save submissions. There is no account system, and the site is designed to operate without tracking visitors for advertising.

If a request form is connected to a real system in the future, this notice would be updated to describe exactly what is collected and how it is used. In that case, any information you submitted would be used only to respond to your request and arrange a directory consultation. It would not be sold, rented, or used for purposes beyond that, in keeping with the privacy principles this guide advocates throughout.

Our stance on member and church data

This guide takes privacy seriously as a matter of principle, since it advises churches on handling members' photographs and contact details responsibly. The same standard applies to how we would treat any information you share with us: use it only for its stated purpose, keep it secure, and never sell or repurpose it. Transparency about data is something we ask of directory providers, and we hold ourselves to it as well.

Because the current static site does not collect data, there is little to manage today, but the commitment stands for whenever the request forms are connected. If you have questions about how your information would be handled, the contact page explains how to reach us. For guidance on protecting member privacy in an actual directory, see the privacy and member data guide.
